GATV participates in the General Assembly of the European project PureMind in Thessaloniki
Researchers from the Visual Telecommunications Applications Group (GATV) at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid recently took part in the General Assembly of the European project PureMind, held in Thessaloniki (Greece), with the Centre for Research and Technology Hellas (CERTH) acting as host institution.
During the meeting, project partners reviewed the progress achieved in this second development phase and coordinated the consortium’s upcoming technical and scientific activities. The agenda also included a hands-on workshop focused on the validation and testing of data acquisition protocols using fNIRS and EEG technologies, which are essential for the project’s research activities.
Representing UPM, Javier Guinea and Jorge Alfonso participated in the meeting and presented the progress developed by the team in the field of inference models, an area in which UPM leads Work Package 8 (WP8).
GATV’s participation in this meeting is particularly relevant at a key stage of the project, as participant recruitment is approaching its final phase and large-scale data acquisition will soon begin. In this context, UPM will play a significant role as technical support for data collection activities in Madrid.
The PureMind project continues to advance the development of innovative technologies and methodologies aimed at the analysis and understanding of neurophysiological signals, contributing to AI-based solutions and advanced data processing applied to research environments and digital health.
