GATV participates in the EARTHONE European project plenary meeting in Padua
Researchers from the Grupo de Aplicación de Telecomunicaciones Visuales (GATV) at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid participated on May 11–12, 2026, in the plenary meeting of the European project EARTHONE held in Padua, Italy, hosted by the Università degli Studi di Padova.
The meeting represented the consortium’s first in-person plenary session since the project’s kick-off meeting, providing partners with the opportunity to review the progress achieved during the first months of the project and coordinate the next phases of work.
Representing UPM, Silvia Alba Uribe Mayoral and Daniel Fernández participated in the technical follow-up and strategic planning sessions of the project.
During the meeting, partners discussed the progress of the different work packages as well as the first guidelines related to the upcoming reporting period. The sessions also helped strengthen coordination among partners and reinforce international collaboration across the consortium.
In-person meetings such as this are particularly valuable in multidisciplinary European projects, as they facilitate technical alignment, knowledge exchange, and the joint definition of priorities and objectives for upcoming project phases.
GATV’s participation in EARTHONE reinforces the group’s commitment to collaborative European research and to the development of technological solutions aligned with current challenges related to sustainability, digital transformation, and applied innovation.
