Fake news is a hot topic both in Europe and around the world, especially on political and social issues that have an impact on both business and industry. The objective of FANDANGO is to aggregate and verify data from sources such as news, social media and open data, in order to detect fake news and provide more efficient and verified communications for European citizens. The European tradition in the fields of democracy, journalism and transparency must be an example in a society that changes very quickly and whose citizens are totally overwhelmed by new technologies and social challenges.
