Audiovisual language

Free-choice course from the Plan 1994 and accreditable training activity for Plan 2010, included in the E.T.S.I.T. catalogue, which takes place throughout the second quarter of the academic year. It is made up of three parts (each equivalent to 1 ECTS): “Audiovisual Language I: the construction of codes and the classical paradigm”, “Audiovisual Language II: construction of modernity”, “Audiovisual Language III: new trends in audiovisual contemporary”. Throughout the course, theoretical-practical classes are combined with film projections that include analysis and discussion with the public, in which the application of theoretical concepts is verified and the different associated aspects are studied in depth. The final objective of the course is to provide attendees with the knowledge and tools, both conceptual and methodological, necessary to understand and appreciate the heterogeneity of classic, modern and contemporary cinema, as well as to extract from it keys to interpret the social and cultural currents of the present from a reflective, critical and consistent position in front of the artistic fact and its context.
