The Technoheritage 2019 Conference, specifically named “IV Congress about Science and Technology for the Conservation of Cultural Heritage” took place in Seville (Spain) in dates from 26th to 30th March 2019.

The Conference is organized by the Technoheritage network, a national initiative for joining efforts in restoration and conservation of Cultural Heritage, derived by leading research groups from public institutions and universities, but also by private companies. GATV research group from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid is a member of this community and network of excellence.

The conference offers an interdisciplinary and international forum for discussions on all aspects of Cultural Heritage, including digital technology for the sustainable management, knowledge and social innovation, new emerging topics in Cultural Heritage such as Digital Information Model (BIM and GIS, for example) for the prevention, conservation and management of heritage, innovative monitoring techniques and social value in the management of information.

Juan Pedro López from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid performed an oral presentation entitled “Development of software tools for the automatic generation of false-colour composites with hyperspectral image capturing” based on the computer vision works in the environment of conservation of cultural heritage in collaboration with IPCE (Instituto del Patrimonio Cultural de España), with the cession of materials for the development of this research. The other authors of this presentation included Carmen Vega and José Manuel Menéndez.
