GaTV offers SUMA 112 the latest technology

Navacerrada was the setting chosen by the professionals of the SUMA rescue teams to test various technological tools to measure the physiological constants of the first responders and monitor the stress and cognitive load of the health professionals to see if their response capacity could be impaired. This initiative has been part of the European RESCUER project, which is a pioneering training programme that aims to improve the effectiveness of emergency professionals in complex rescues.

GATV and emergency services, an ideal tandem

The main aim of this collaboration is to facilitate the rescue work of these teams by improving the location of people lost in the mountains, their early medical care and transfer to hospital. Thanks to the built-in communication and support system, information on missing persons can be shared with the helicopter of the Special High Altitude Rescue Group (GERA), ambulances and the hospital itself.

RESCUER, a pioneering European project

As its name suggests, RESCUER is the name of this pioneering European training project to improve the effectiveness of emergency professionals in complex rescues. A project in which the Community of Madrid participates with the professionals of the regional Emergency Medical Service (SUMMA 112), and which seeks to improve the work and above all the safety of professionals in complicated rescues, whether due to environmental conditions or the places where they take place.
